# Sandy Base Studio Privacy

Sandy Base Studio 1.1.0 is a local desktop application. The public-beta
candidate includes no Sandy Base account, cloud compiler, advertising,
analytics, or telemetry. Projects, imported assets, validation reports,
preview addons, builds, and recommendation packets remain on the creator's
computer unless the creator chooses to share or publish them.

The selected Garry's Mod installation is a local Studio preference. It is not
part of `project.json`, is not compiled into an intro, and is not included when
a `.sandyintro` folder is shared. Legacy project `gmodPath` values are ignored.

Studio never asks for or stores a Steam password. When a creator explicitly
reviews and confirms a Workshop submission, Studio starts the `gmpublish` tool
installed with Garry's Mod. Steam and Valve then process that submission under
their own terms and privacy policies. Opening a Workshop item also leaves
Studio for Steam's website or client.

The catalog included with this candidate is local metadata. The recommendation
packet is a local JSON file; exporting it does not send or upload it. Studio
does not silently subscribe or unsubscribe Workshop items.

Uninstalling Studio does not delete `.sandyintro` project folders or Steam
Workshop items. Creators are responsible for removing local projects, preview
outputs, or published items they no longer want.

This notice must be reviewed before any future release adds networking,
telemetry, crash reporting, accounts, or a remote catalog service.
